SCBWI Ireland was founded in Dublin, Ireland, in 2007 by Maeve McMahon and Jane Mitchell.
Our energetic group of members includes published and prepublished writers, illustrators, and translators, both traditionally and independently published.
SCBWI Ireland is for anyone who lives on the island of Ireland and writes, illustrates, or translates stories for children, ranging from picture books to novels for young adults.
We also welcome visiting SCBWI members from any other region worldwide.
Events
We organize regular social events in different locations. We also try to organize at least one annual event for members to learn more about the crafts of writing and illustrating, and to learn more about getting published if that is your goal.
